SUMMARY:2019 America Crappie Trail - National Qualifier
DESCRIPTION:2019 American Crappie Trail National Qualifier to be held at Goose Pond Colony on Guntersville Lake\n\n\n\nThe Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce and City of Scottsboro announces the initial National Qualifier Crappie Tournament organized by the American Crappie Trail. Goose Pond Resort on Lake Guntersville will be the home of the event on February 15 and 16 of 2019. The organizers selected Lake Guntersville after their participating anglers continued to report how plentiful Crappie fishing was on this lake and it would be a mistake not to make a tournament appearance here. \n\n\n\nThe American Crappie Trail organization has a simple philosophy: Our objective is to provide anglers the ability to participate in premier crappie tournaments with the highest guaranteed payout in the industry. The use of state-of-the-art trailers and weigh-in stations\, full production live internet weigh-ins\, great film and editing crews\, established television networks and knowledgeable staff will raise the bar in the crappie fishing industry. The American Crappie Trail was started by fisherman for the fisherman. Our goal is to become the nation's premier crappie tournament trail. \n\n\n\nUnprecedented payouts for anglers and coverage for sponsors will expand the exposure and sales for our partners above and beyond expectations. \n\n\n\nAfter all that's said and done\, the two-day tournament is estimated to have 200 registered anglers with an estimated economic impact of almost $150\,000 spent in our local businesses. So far\, anglers have registered from 10 states to fish in the tournament. \n\n\n\nThe amount invested in this tournament will be returned in the form of sales tax\, lodging tax and fuel tax to our city and county.\n\nBe sure to watch for the tournament anglers coming the second week in February and treat them with our great southern hospitality. They are our guests and we hope to bring them back for many years to come.\n\n\n\nFor more information call the Chamber at 256-259-5500.
