Everyone is invited to the Grand reveal of THE YARD (Alley beside the library) Thursday, October 3rd @4:30. Games, Contests, and Refreshments! Christie picked the name The Yard since we have it set up like a back yard with fun games and a chill place to hang. Our hashtag will be #staltheyard (short for Stevenson Alabama) and we would love it if you use our hashtag when you take pics. This started as the annual teen project but took a lot longer than expected. It has been totally worth the wait! This project was paid for by a STEM grant, materials the city had on hand, some peoples trash became our treasures, Linda Kirk, and benches donated by Chasity Talley and Rachael Gonce and of course, THE CITY OF STEVENSON. Shout out to: *Mayor Steele for helping us with our vision and sending help our way to complete the tasks. *Brian Miller and Tommy Allison for building the back wall. *Andy Burnette for welding the fence and the Library Boys helped him. *The TEENS for helping with the vision and all their hard work. They done everything from hauling blocks to painting. *Terri for always going above and beyond. *TOMMY PIERCE AND ROBERT DAVIS, THANK YOU BOTH for being the husbands that we drag though our crazy ideas and spend more time than you want to admit working for snowcones. *Anyone else who stepped in and helped with every little thing.
