Save the date.
 
Some of you may be familiar with the Youth Advocate Program, Inc.’s YAP House, which provides supervised visitation between parents and children in cases where that’s necessary or helpful.  It has been operational for a couple of years, but we are about to move into a fuller relationship with YAP, Inc. and the courts, DHR, etc.
 
There is to be a ribbon cutting and open house for the visitation center on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.  Please save that date and plan to attend and support the visitation center.  It’s located next door to the Chamber of Commerce at 409 East Willow Street, Scottsboro.
 
More information—including a new name for the center—will be announced within the next couple of weeks.
 

 
PS—The center director, Beverly Benson, told yesterday that they are presently serving 53 children from our county.
