About Us

MEET DR. CARTER
Dr. Jared Carter creates beautiful smiles and lifelong confidence from his practice located in both Rainsville and Scottsboro, Alabama. Originally from the small town of Hoboken, GA, Dr. Carter felt right at home moving to the area. “I have always felt a strong sense of community in the Rainsville and Scottsboro areas. The people I have met during my visits were so kind and welcoming. When the time came to decide where to open my orthodontic practice, it was an easy decision.”


Dr. Carter is completely driven to keep learning, improving, and developing both as an orthodontist and person. “Orthodontics is continually evolving, and I want to be able to give my patients the latest and greatest when it comes to their investment in themselves. I attend continuing education courses on a regular basis to ensure each patient is getting the best treatment possible.”


Dr. Carter earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry from Berry College in Rome, Georgia; achieving Summa Cum Laude honors. He then completed the dental program at the Medical College of Georgia, where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. After dental school, Dr. Carter continued his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s 33-month orthodontic specialty program, where he also earned a Master’s of Science in Dentistry.


Dr. Carter is active in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the Alabama Dental Association.

Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Carter spending time with his wife, Emily, who grew up in nearby Fyffe. Together, they enjoy live music, local sporting events, hiking, and hanging with their Goldendoodle, Charlie.
